Through its West and Central African node, WOCAN aims to:
Identify women’s priorities in the regions as they relate to the domains of NRM and Agriculture; build the capacities of women and men in gender mainstreaming, and improve women’s participation in decision-making spheres related to Agriculture and NRM; advocate at national and regional levels; strengthen networks of women engaged in Agriculture and Natural Resources Management; improve networking between rural and professional women; and develop and implement WOCAN projects in the west and central Africa regions.
