Who We Are
Following the recommendations of its members from West and Central Africa during the Regional Meeting of Members of West and Central Africa, the WOCAN West and Central Africa Regional Office was created in December 2006 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The office is hosted by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in its Central Africa office. Since January 2008, the office is led by a Regional Coordinator who works closely with a Coordination Team from Cameroon and Ghana. This team will develop and expand the WOCAN network in the two specific regions cited above, and will carry out the implementation of WOCAN projects in the region.
