Members of the WOCAN Steering Committee met to develop a Work Plan and Budget, based on those of the WOCAN Secretariat, and to select the Coordinator of the WOCAN Wes/Central Africa office and determine her Terms of Reference. They also determined the structure, modus operandi and activities of the Steering Committee itself.

The 6-day workshop is a follow-up to the Ghana workshop that held in June 2008 to assist participants to review developments on gender issues within their respective organizations, build the capacity of participants and develop strategies to address them within their respective organizations and become the change agents required of them.
